Chahai — Granitic Porcelain
Each piece is crafted on my kick wheel, following what I consider a yogic principle, where gesture, gaze, and breath are coordinated with the clay. The same local granitic water accompanies the entire process: it is used to prepare the clay, to throw the piece, to create the glazes, and ultimately, it is what I use to drink tea
I work outside any productivity principle, moving slowly and centered, avoiding any productive gesture.
